Thanks for asking this question. It reminded me I wanted to do the same.
This helped me to get it working:

It's for openSUSE but there's probably no reason why it shouldn't work
on Ubuntu. The important thing seems to be that XP doesn't recognise
"ipp://" - you have to use "http://";
