It must be obvious how to use this command. So obvious that there's no need for an example in the User Manual. Has anyone else noticed the circular references that keep sending you elsewhere for the info?
I also searched thru the last 4 months of this list for info on the 'clonehd' command without success. ...........anyway Hopefully someone can help me see the obvious. I'm still using version 1.6.6 and the name of the commmand has changed since then from clonevdi to clonehd, but otherwise it's the same, from how I read it. Using sudo VBoxManage clonevdi /home/mtyoung/.VirtualBox/WinXP\ v1.vdi /home/mtyoung/.VirtualBox/XP3v1.vdi gives me a working clone, but not the one I want. It gives me a copy of the original VM created with VBox. It's not a copy of the current version in use, which I expected to get, then retreat a couple of snapshots to the version I wanted. How can I get a complete copy, or a copy of a chosen snapshot? Any would be appreciated.
