You can activate both interfaces in your VM, making it possible to use
both interfaces.
 - Activate 2 nics
 - Attach on to the wired lan
 - Attach the other to the wlan.

As to being able to use the WLAN for failover, that would be part of
the client OS setup, I would assume.
