Base OS: openSUSE11.1 (x86)
RAM: 3.0GB
CPU: Pentium D (Dual Core) @ 2.6GHz

At first, I first installed OSE VirtualBox 2.0.6 bundled with openSUSE,
added my userid to vboxusers group and I was able to start VirtualBox
as a non-root userid.

I removed VBox 2.0.6 (using Yast), and then installed VBox 2.1.2 no
error messages etc.

However, with 2.1.2, I am unable to start up VBox as a non-root user.
It complaints that the user does not have sufficient rights. I
verified that the non-root user is a member of vboxusers group.

Have I missed any thing that could possible be causing the problem?

As a workaround, in /root I have created a link to ~userid/.VirtualBox
and I invoke VirtualBox using gnomesu - it works but still I would like
VBox to start up just the way V 2.0.2 did.

Any pointers to the solution would be highly appreciated.

TIA
