I started with the PCnet-FAST III interface and I could do a lot. But later, under certain circumstances, I had the problem that the whole VM did freeze. Using the virtual Intel NIC solved that problem. The server is running stable whatever it does. This has nothing to do with the physical interface. The problem was there on three different systems with three different NIC's, but with the same VM. -- fr.gr.
