By "last version," I assume you mean 2.2.0. I don't recall for sure,
but I do seem to recall something about the installer ending
prematurely, but I don't remember if that was when trying to remove
2.2.0, or when trying to install 2.2.2. I do remember that after
applying the registry changes described in ticket 3701, and then
removing 2.2.0, the remove process stopped with an error, but
virtualbox didn't appear in add/remove programs, and I was able to
install 2.2.2 without problems, exactly as the comments in that ticket
indicated.
