I bit more information would be helpful. Are you trying to connect a
USB drive to the Windows machine, to transfer files from Windows to
the drive?

If so, did you connect the drive to the machine? You need to use the
Devices --> USB Devices menu and click on the checkbox for the USB
device. If it is grayed out, you will need to change the permissions
on the device in Linux so you can access it. You will also need to
unmount any partitions on the drive that get mounted automatically.
