Hello, Rod -- My understanding is that Solaris requires hardware that is different from the x86 stuff of Win-Doze, Lunix, etc. To the extent that this might be true, it would seem that you may simply need two machines. On the other hand, VirtualBox seems to have the capacity to work with some variants, which means that all three could possibly work on one machine. I cannot even guess what you mean when you say that you need to use openSolaris "with programs" (Isn't that how we use ANY operating system?) or that you need to use Ubuntu "with all things", so these "clues" leave me "clue-less"!!! I think you are wise to NOT suggest having the Host system being Win- Doze. My own inclination (since I know NOTHING of Solaris) would be to have the Ubuntu Jaunty as the Host and Solaris and Win-Doze as Guest systems -- but you might make Solaris the Host and Jaunty the Guest if you will use Solaris more than Jaunty. I hope that this is helpful to you. Best of good fortune.
