Hello, I discovered I cannot run multiple cpus on a Solaris guest, because turning on ioapic will reduce performances tremendously (and this seems to depend also on the number of cpus allocated: 2 cpus seems still almost usable but slow, 4 cpus becomes totally unusable, even services cannot start because of time outs). My host is a 2x8cores 3Ghz Sun machine, total 16 cores. I obviously would like to allocate more cores fore every VM, but if I omit ioapic, these are not seen by the system. Is there any reason? Any combination of flags will let me allocate cpus without ioapic? Thanx for any help. Gabriele. Gabriele Bulfon - Sonicle S.r.l.
