-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I was trying to get a freeBSD guest up on an ubuntu host which also had a w2k guest and an xp guest.
Neither one of those other works any longer. When I installed the freeBSD host, I ran out of room, so I moved a directory containing the disk images I had used to install the ms guests to a different partition. I then added the images to vbox back in at their new location and deleted the old images from vbox. I also changed the network shared directory in each ms guest from a single directory under my home directory to my home directory itself and deleted the specification for the old shared directory. That's all that's different. I think. Now both guest's refuse to boot with 'failed to load HGCM (VERR_INVALID_PARAMETER)' Since I have had no response to this posting I am preparing to destroy the now useless w2k and xp guests on my ubuntu machine and reinstall them, including all the microsoft updates. This will take a couple of days. I had hoped for some help from this list, but none has been forthcoming. I assume that either no one else has ever had this problem or that I have somehow so offended you all that you have decided to let me twist in the wind. Happy New Year to all of you. - -- This communication may have been intercepted and read by the US government and has been intercepted by the TOT and presumably read by the TOT and the Thai government without prior notice to or consent of either end.
