My advice would be to connect from each guest separately. The core
advantage to this is if you have to move a guest to another host you don't
need to re-configure anything.
The only disadvantage would be if more than one guest requires the same
file at once - I am only presuming - the file will transfer over the
network for each guest. I can't really see any other advantage of using a
shared folder approach.
