It is very strange. I installed virtualbox3.1.2 in Ubuntu 9.10, the guest os
is windows xp sp3. Before I install, I can access network in ubuntu, my ip
adderss is 192.168.1.14, the gate way is 192.168.1.1, and there are also
many computers such as 192.168.1.127......
After installing Virtualbox, I still can access network, browse WWW. In the
half of installing guest os windows xp sp3, I unplug the cable, so Ubuntu is
offline. I use the default network setting - NAT, and did not change
anything.
When the guest os installed, I plug the cable, and found that I can not ping
the 192.168.1.1, but still can ping 192.168.1.127. I set the DNS is
202.106.0.20, but firefox can not resolve domine name.
So now I cannot access WWW in my Ubuntu 9.10, can not ping 192.168.1.1, but
192.168.1.127 and the host IP(192.168.1.14) are OK. Why ? Why the host os
can not access WWW?
Can someone help me? Thank you very much!
