See the chapter on using vboxmanage in the virtualbox user's manual. I think that's chapter 8, but I'm going by memory here, so don't quote me on that.
However, since you probably failed to unregister your guest before reinstalling your host, you might get errors when attempting to use vboxmanage registervm.
