Are you running Redhat Linux? If so, did you install Bruce Guenter's qmail
RPMs? If so, did you remove the cron job from /etc/cron.hourly/ that
essentially craters your vpopmail domains?

Check to make sure /var/qmail/users/assign isn't getting automatically
overwritten by this cron job.
