qmailadmin problem

OK, I think I've stumbled onto a bug in qmailadmin 0.39. I'm using
vpopmail-4.9.6 with the system username feature so that each maildomain
belongs to a system password entry. 

When attempting to use the "change password" feature within qmailadmin, on
any domain that's not listed in the rcpthosts file (ie, the first 50 domains
on the box), the change password fails with an error -22. It fails for all
users. Anyone else seen this?  Better yet, anyone know a solution?
