That solved the issue, thanks Ken :-)

FYI, I'm running with this setup that works creating user direct into the
mysql table vpopmail, with pw_dir=NULL.
The virtualusers homedir will be created when a mail received, when pop'ed
or when login via sqwebmail.

vpopmail-4.9.9
mysql-3.22.32
qmailadmin-0.43
sqwebmail-1.2.5 with updated authlib/preauthvchkpw.c (you'll find it further
down)
