Hello..

My e-mail was bouncing mails yesterday, so i'm replying to you using the
list's archive as a source of data...

[Alex]

thank you for your nice work. If you will manage to get it going with
postfix, then please provide me/us with some docs.

[Ken]

 >> I've asked you in the past to provide documentation and a cdb version
of the code. And I didn't really get >> back anything that I could use.
Basicly just the code. I'm not going to get into a war with you over this.

Please - this is just ridiculous!!

Have you ever tried to read the patch's homepage?

The nearly complete docs are there from the begining, describing API
changes, new data structures and so on. Current information is distributed
along with the patch in the distribution archive. Last time you asked for
docs, i've replied that the docs are ALREADY in the package and id was you
who never come back..

Morover:

a) my patch is COMPLETELY independent of the cdb stuff. You can use the
normal cdb stuff together with it.
b) i do not recall your request for me to code this stuff for .cdb , and
actualy i have not the desire to do so. The only thing to add to make it
"compatible" with cdb is the vaddfucntion program that will eventualy creat
the .qmail files instead of database objects. BUT THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO
WITH THE PATCH ITSELF, it's just a companion utility...
c) from the begining , my patch is clearly separated from the other things
and can be enabled/disabled via configure switch so again, including it
wont break anything.

 >> It's another thing entirely to backward fit those features into the
other authentication modules, provide

maintainer.

1. my stuff does not collide with anything it ADDS features and does not
change anything else
2. as soon as it'll be in the main distro - somobody that is interested in
postgres or oracle support can port it to other auth module.
3. and i will repeat myself -> what you have done right now is just a:
a) crippled version of my patch
b) changed SUPPORT command to work with either mysql/cdb

If you would spend a second looking at our latest patch, then you would
notice that it was just a matter of adding few lines of code to our
vaddfunction program to get you to the same point but with better
functionality.

So please - do us a favour and take a look at our patches and docs again
(and try not to be biased) and if something is wrong then tell it here so
we can discuss and fix it. Because right now you are just ignoring us,
asking for things that has been already provided to you etc.... We want to
do it for the good of community and not for our egos or something..

As i said before - my patch adds CLEARLY SEPARATED functionality to
vpopmail. If you do not enable it at compile time - you wont feel any
difference.

Everything Ken asked for IS in the distro. And also on the webpage.
