Hi,
Ive never used the extension but PHP throws the cannot connect to mySQL
server when it isnt able to connect to the server for the reason that it
cannot find the hostname, the username is wrong or the password is
wrong.
Id check that you have it setup properly with your mySQL server, your
username and your password and there should be an obvious mistake
somewhere in there :)
