Sorry to bother, but i'm having the strangest problems with my setup.
I have 2 domains (helenlarsen.com and silentcooperative.com). they're also
virtual domains. I've created users both in /etc/passwd and shadow, as well
as vadduser'd a user for the helenlarsen.com virtual domain. !! I can't
authenticate via pop with them at all !!
This was after deciding to use vchkpasswd to try to solve the problem i was
having prior...
Before I installed vpopmail, i could pop emails no prob and authenticate 2
pull'em off no prob. in my adduser script, it got auto updated to install a
Maildir in the user's ~home and everyhing. After installing vpopmail, I
could authenticate just fine but never received any new emails (according 2
my mail client) when i sent them from an internal user on the local server
or when i sent them from an outside source. I never got them kicked back
either, so i knew they were somewhere in the system, and they were in fact
in the Maildir of the user's SYSTEM ACCOUNT Maildir as opposed to their
VIRTUAL DOMAIN USER's Maildir. This is why i switched from /bin/chkpasswd
to ~vpopmail/bin/vchkpasswd, thinking that i'd test that out.
As of now, I'm not getting anything kicked back, AND i'm not seeing any new
msgs in either Maildir.
I haven't made any modifications to the program(s) @ all. This is
out-of-box stuff here. Anyone have any thoughts??
