I'd give a try adding the domain to /var/qmail/control/rcpthosts and adding a
line to /var/qmail/control/smtproutes like
example.com:[ip-of-real-destination-host]
or
example.com:exchange-server.customer.com
HUPing qmail-send (either svc -h /service/qmail or killall -HUP qmail-send)
and the work should be done.
