Thats weird..ldconfig is installed by default in many distros...
BTW..which OS,distro ???
In my system
#rpm -qa|grep ldconfig
ldconfig-2.2.2-4mdk
so,Installing ldconfig RPM will do if ur distro supports RPM'S.

Its not a problem with vpopmail and also it isn't a new feature in vpopmail.
