hello friends - first of all, i wud like to thank all of out there for helping me out. i tried courier-imap instead of uw-imap and atleast now i am able to authnticate and receive emails using this server. soon i am going to try for mysql authentication. thanks to all. there's one question, though which is further bothering me: i have installed qmail+vpopmail+courier-imap on Red hat 6.2 and am using Vchkpw for email username/password authentication. i am able to receive and send mails in a normal way and i am also able to create new folders, but under the INBOX folder. when i try to create new folders under the newqmail.com mail account at the same level as INBOX, Netscape 4.7 Messenger throws the error: The curent Command did not succeed. The mail server responded: Invalid mailbox name. Following are my queries regarding the above error: 1. Can't I configure courier-imap to allow email clients to allow creation of new folders at the root level (by root, i mean at the same level as INBOX)? If yes, then how? 2.
