Divyank,
This means either:
1. The directory that the user's email is stored (
~vpopmail/users/username/Maildir/new ) does not exist (any of the
directories in that path) or....
2. vpopmail doesn't have the permissions to change to the directory above.
Check what processID that vpopmail is SetUID, and make sure that the
~vpopmail directory's ownership and permissions are correct.
I may be incorrect on this, but you may want to fix the permissions via a
make install
on the vpopmail source (if there's another, safer way please correct me, I
haven't looked at the source in a bit, nor have had to fix permissions in
quite a while)
