Afternoon List-

I am having a problem getting Courier-IMAP to actually "use" vchkpw.

Relevant sys info:

OS: FreeBSD 4.3-RELEASE
VPOPMAIL: 4.10.32
Courier: 1.3.9
Qmail: 1.03

Am I missing any sys info you'd find helpfull?

Okay, here's the problem. POP works just fine using the pop3d from qmail
and popping in the vchkpw as the password checker. The Courier POP doesn't
work either, but I think that's the same problem.

Courier compiled in the authvchkpw module just fine. I edited the
authdaemonrc file to only use authvchkpw:
        authmodulelist="authvchkpw"

When I telnet to 143 on my box and pass it the user and pass info:

        login [EMAIL PROTECTED] password

I get the following reply:
login NO Error in IMAP command received by server.

which I am assuming just means that the username/password is wrong? :) and
since I know it isn't (user / pass in POP3 works just fine) my conclusion
is that somehow the authlib isn't be called or used correctly.

The imapd config file lists authdaemon as it's auth modle.

Yes, I did stop and start the authdaemon daemon, a few times as well as
the imap process.

Any hints? Thoughts? Suggestions?

Thanks!
