Problem sending mailto popuser

Hi,

   I have installed qmail and vpopmail successfully.I created a new pop user.But when 
i trued to send him a mail i got this error.


   deferral: Unable_to_open_./Maildir:_is_a_directory._(#4.2.1)/                       
                                
    Can anybody give suggestion so that i can rectify the problem.
