I don't know about the problems you're having.. but you can try Sam's pop server. If you install courier-imap, it gets installed. Just make sure it uses only the authvchkpw module, and couriertcpd as -user vpopmail -user vchkpw unless you have domains under multiple /etc/passwd uids. It supports maildirsize, too, so if you happen to use my maildirquota patch with vpopmail, your quota usage will get updated when you delete mail, unlike qmail-pop3d. : ) But you lose vchkpw's logging, which is a drag. Also, it's ready to go for secure pop connections. Regards, Bill Shupp
