vpopmail and qmail-smtpd need to share the same tcp.smtp and tcp.smtp.cdb. For permission reasons, it's better to have those files under ~vpopmail/etc directory. If --enable-roaming-users=y during configuration, the vpopmail configure script attempts to auto-discover if there is an /etc/tcp.smtp file already on the system and use that. If it doesn't find one it will create a ~vpopmail/etc/tcp.smtp file automatically. Ken Jones
