[vchkpw] Error executing vadddomain

I have successfully compiled vpopmail 5.2.2 on Solaris 8.  However, when I run the vadddomain command, I receive the message "ld.so.1: ./vadddomain: fatal: libz.so: open failed: No such file or directory Killed".  I didn't notice any errors during the compilation or installation vpopmail.  I have the GNU package zlib installed.  I'm new to vpopmail/qmail.  My guess is that I am missing something that needs to be installed for vpopmail to run, but have no idea what.  Any help appreciated.   Thanks   Chris Hanrahan
