Search for "RELAYCLIENT" and you will find the line you have to change. Recompile afterwards. BTW, Tom asked me to code a runtime configuration file in ~vpopmail/etc that will contain additional environment variables that will be added to open-smtp. Runtime configuration will be added to vpopmail soon, as Tom told me. It will solve your problem without patching the code.
