Now works, having changed the mount option in /etc/fstab to defaults.

/dev/hdd1 is a XFS filesystem. It seems that when this path is mounted on
/dev/hdd I cannot log in via pop! IMAP works fine though.

I am very confused by this. Has anyone else had troubles with XFS file
