Hi,
Mine just does it.
In /var/log/maillog I get entries similar to
Oct 2 18:33:27 mail002 vpopmail[22243]: vchkpw-pop3: password fail
(pass: 'dtapt') [email protected]:10.10.10.10
The compile option, I believe, that does this is --enable-logging=v
