If there is interest I might give a talk about openSUSE BuildService
and how to deal with some issues regarding cross-distro RPM packaging (I
held a session on this topic on FOSDEM). The abstract can be seen
Presenter: Pavol Rusnak, openSUSE
Title: Cross-distro packaging using openSUSE BuildService
Build Service is a development platform providing the infrastructure
necessary for building software packages for major Linux distributions
(Debian, CentOS, Fedora, Mandriva, openSUSE, Red Hat Enterprise Linux,
SUSE Linux Enterprise and Ubuntu). Moreover, Build Service is able to
create complete distributions and images using KIWI. In this talk we'll
show the functionality of the Build Service and we'll also address some
cross-distribution RPM packaging issues and how we can deal with them
using the Build Service.
