I think mine is set to buffer only 4 frames with a hysteric of 4. About the sound, what i did was loop the audio output of the nexus-s back into the line-in on my soundcard using that 1/8" stereo jack plug coming out of the nexus. Next, make sure you have your mixer settings correct.
I should have mentioned I'm using a Twinhan 1020a. While using MythTV everything works (except, well, its MythTV, not VDR).
I checked my mixer settings and trying various things didn't help. I'll next try a DVD with Xine to see if perhaps I messed up on the compile.
