Yes, it can be quite challenging.
First you have to master
cvs checkout <target>
Then, depending on what happens, the dreaded
cvs update
with the fancy
cvs update -dP
coming after years of experience.
And then, there are dark rumors throughout the land of the magical
cvs commit
but that is simply a rumor.
