Plain and simple. The license is a legal document that you have agreed to and is the basis for what open source is. Just because the code is obvious doesn't mean that someone's work went into creating it. Not giving the author the appropriate credit for that work is unacceptable and just uncool. I now wonder if you are using Velocity without following our license as well. -jon
