What I really mean is that it would be great if we can define something like this in the property file:
velocity.filter.html=my.html.filter.class velocity.filter.path.html=/html velocity.filter.wml=my.wml.filter.class velocity.filter.path.wml=/wml In this case, we can control using a different filter within a different path. Well, no, as that would mean that the view could turn off what the controller does. It might be something you put into your app, which controls which pages get an event cartridge.
