Tim,
While working on the patch last night, I found that the current
tools has a built-in dependency on the 1.3 velocity jar. This
version apparently does NOT accept the newer key for the
velocity configuration file (I could only get it to read
the config file using the old name). You may want to leave
the example web.xml in the older form and make a note that
the key is changing.
I have the current cvs version of velocity, and when I try to use
that with the tools, I get a NullPointerException. I'm still
trying to work out if I caused that with my proposed patch,
or if it was already a problem.
Perhaps someone else could comment on the relation between Tools
and the current Velocity source tree?
