Dear Velocity Developer Community,
in one of our projects we wish to use Velocity as template engine for
code-generation. Velocity would be used during design phase to generate
code for what effectively are persistent beans, and accessor code based
on various patterns.
Ericsson has very strict rules in regards to usage of what we call Free
Open Source Software (FOSS), in terms of licensing and export
classification. Effectively, I need to get corporate management approval
for using any FOSS. As part of the approval process, I need an official
statement that the software does not contain any encryption due to
possible export restrictions and dual-use. I admit that I did not search
the source code, since I'm quite confident that Velocity does not make
use of encryption. Unfortunately, I still need an official statement
from the "manufacturer" :-).
Would you be in a position to furnish me with such a statement? A short
reply by e-mail would suffice. Your help in this matter would be much
appreciated.
Thank You,
Best Regards
