Whenever you feel ready. It's a beta, so I expect it to have some
rough edges. I don't update the docs e.g., I want to keep that for the
beta -> rc transition. I feel that we might be ready for RC two weeks
after the beta.

(A quick side note: We might be "ready to release" right around
christmas. After listening to Sally's talk @ AC and the podcast, I
think that this would be bad from a PR point of view. I'd suggest that
in that case we do another RC and then release in the second week of
January when the holidays are over.)
