Hello,

It's not ready for use in a product, but is rapidly approaching
the point where it is. I honestly couldn't give you an exact
time frame for a release, but if I had to give you a ball park
figure I would say 4-6 weeks at the rate we're moving. Something
that could be used reliably. We are using JUnit to build a test
harness and when we have test cases for all the components of
Velocity and all the tests pass, then we will release.

Right now it is working well, we're fixing some parsing problems
as we find them and adding new test cases to make sure they
never crop up again. There there is also a Velocity service in
Turbine which is behaving well.

John Castura is also working toward getting a full set
of documentation ready for release.

I would say 4-6 weeks is a reasonable time frame for
a beta release, then we will require some feed back to
fix any problems but I think Velocity will be very
reliable at that point.

jvz.
