I'd forgotten about that (I think I wrote the PageList before that came
out). If I remember right, there's much similarity. I'll take another
look.
If you're not familiar with DisplayTag in JSP - it's fabulous. It generates
a complete (sortable) table with page numbers, next/previous arrows, etc.
The look and feel is highly configurable using CSS. While I know we've
avoided HTML specific functionality in Velocity/Tools, a pageable table
would be a useful future extension.

have you looked at the AbstractPagerTool in VelocityTools? it hasn't
made it into a release yet (though it will soon, if my schedule ever
decides to be kind to me), but i think it covers much of the same
ground as your PageList. do you think there's any improvements that
could be made to the tool? i'd love to get feedback on it from
someone else who has had to implement list paging solutions for
velocity.
