*POSITION DESCRIPTION***
*DEPARTMENT: * Information Technology**
*TITLE:* SD Analyst **
*UNIT:* SAP**
*FUNCTION:* SD Analyst**
*ROLE:* Design and implementation of SD
business solutions in the SAP system as well as day-to-day operational
support. This person will also implement SAP upgrades, also review and
analyze industry solutions and tools to support the business**
*RESPONSIBILITIES:*
1. Lead the development and deployment of solutions through analysis,
recommendation, design, testing and implementation.
2. Provide leadership and high value through a combination of business
and technical knowledge.
3. Work effectively with cross-functional teams including IT, Supply
Chain, Finance, Product Distribution, Quality, Product Planning,
Contracts, Marketing, Sales/Field to implement best practices,
system solutions, reporting systems and improve business processes.
4. Provide primary user support and serve as liaison to IT.
5. Recommend and execute configuration changes to support changing
business requirements.
6. Provide technical expertise in identification, design,
configuration, testing and debugging. issues and perform unit,
integration and user acceptance testing
. Provide end user support
8. Perform program configuration/modification and set-up activities
using process implementation techniques.
9. Co-ordinate User Acceptance testing and traning with the Business
Client.
10. Involved in Business process analysis and problem resolution
11. Additional responsibilities will include but not be limited to
production system support, computer system validation, project management,
and identification of potential business process improvements
12. Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, peers and
management.
13. Effectively manage systems, applications and processes to meet or
exceed the accepted client service levels.
14. Support the client's IT security policies, processes and procedures to
comply with mandates including Sarbanes Oxley.
*EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE MINIMUMS*:**
* Bachelor of Science degree in a related field.
OR
* Equivalent experience, and 5 years of related experience.
*SKILLS & ABILITIES: *
* Able to perform after hours maintenance and upgrades on critical
systems.
* Demonstrates working knowledge of various relevant programming
Demonstrates the ability to assimilate new technical information
and apply it effectively to enhance client's business.
* Able to cope with multiple work interruptions and to maintain focus
on details
* Demonstrates effective diagnostic and trouble shooting skills
* Demonstrates flexibility regarding change of assignments, focus,
priorities and needs, etc.
* Demonstrates a customer service orientation
* Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills
* Demonstrates effective project management skills.
* Demonstrates effective problem solving skills.
* Demonstrates initiative and is able to work with only moderate
