Job Title : QA Tester
Location : Washington, DC
Duration : 6-12 months Contract
Rate : Open
Description
The candidate will be responsible for executing, updating and maintaining
the automated regression testing framework within Common Analytics Platform.
In addition, the candidate will be creating test scripts/cases/data,
executing test scripts, reporting, and participating in status calls. He/she
must maintain a close, proactive working relationship with development
teams. This candidate must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and
analytical skills and be able to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast
paced, deadline-driven environment is a must.
Responsibilities:
-Executing, updating and maintaining the automated regression testing
framework with Perl, Unix Shell, C++ and SQL
-Analyzing regression testing results and compile regression reports
-Collect and archive testing SDLC artifacts and evidence
-Create/recapture and maintain other software development life cycle (SDLC)
artifacts, standards and procedures
-Identify and report testing environment infrastructure related incidents
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree with five years of experience, Master’s degree with 3
years, as developer with strong testing experience
•At least 2 years experience in automated regression testing
•At least 3 years scripting experience (Perl/Unix Shell) under UNIX
•At least 3 years programming experience in SQL and C++
•At least 2 years experience in using XML, ClearQuest and QualityCenter.
•Must be highly detail-oriented
•Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Must be a self-starter and motivating to learn new techniques, skills, and
knowledge required by his or her duties and responsibilities.
•Must be able to define problem space as well as potential solutions and
create own work plan to accomplish large, unstructured tasks.
•Must be able to work independently and collaboratively with others
•Experience in the mortgage finance industry is a plus but not required
