*List of specific technologies/skills:*
- SQL, PL/SQL, relational design/understanding.
- Java, JEE (XML, web services, servlets, ...), Spring.
- JPA implementations, Hibernate, etc.
- Subversion, Git.
*Desirable i.e. specifically relevant to what we're trying to
accomplish: *Jasper
Reports, Talend Data Quality; BIRT; Pentaho Data Quality or
Report Designer; java.net Mural/Mosaic (MDM) open-dm-dq. Etc.
*Looking for skills in data quality analysis and reporting, with ability to
evaluate and deploy software to drive them*
This position is responsible for evaluating IAM data, make a recommendation
on reporting and analysis tools/frameworks for support of Identity
Management, and then train staff on the usage of the selected tools. The
work done by this person will allow the IAM and IT-Express teams to become
more efficient in processing IAM data and focus on their core work instead
of fixing continuing data quality issues.
1.Evaluate Data Quality and Reporting framework for use by IAM, taking into
account: Flexibility/extensibility to adapt to current and future IAM
environments. Ease of learning/use by technical staff, possibly technical
management. Potential to automate the repair of certain data anomalies.
Logging actions in the context of auditability. Cost effectiveness:
acquisition and maintenance cost, demands on staff time. Availability of
commercial support. Management reporting for e.g.
anticipating/scheduling/allocating ITX staff workload.
2. Present framework recommendation(s) to IAM/IET technical management.
3.Install, configure application(s).
4.Implement at least two data quality components.
5.Document technical design/implementation and how they meet business
requirements.
6. Train a minimum of two IET application development (IAM) staff in
developing data quality components and reports.
7.Train a minimum of two ITX staff in e.g. routine identity merges.
Alternatively, write a users guide on the components.
These tasks presuppose (A) known/existing problems affecting
identity/account/... data quality, and (B) intended design/behavior of
current components and future evolution of the IAM infrastructure, are
sufficiently documented.
