Candidates must have extensive knowledge and experience with cloud and virtualization technologies, solutions and architecture with a keen focus on, and experience with, Big Data and Analytics. You should have in-depth experience in Infrastructure automation in different cloud platforms and experience implementing web services using cloud service offerings from public and private cloud service providers (such as AWS, Azure and Google Apps Engine). Qualified candidates will have in-depth experience with integrating security / compliance standards into automated builds of cloud instances and good knowledge of *Service Oriented Architecture Technologies and SOAP and REST Web services.* You should have a solid understanding of High performance computing and cloud scalability and understanding of cloud provisioning/broker platforms (ServiceMesh Agility, Rightscale, etc.) as well as experience with Amazon Web Service product offerings and capabilities. *Candidates should have solid work experience in high-volume, parallel-processing enterprise systems with Hadoop ecosystems (MapReduce, Yarn, Pig, Hive, Drill, Oozie, Sqoop etc) and be proficient in SQL, Java, DataTorrent or Hbase, Cloudera and MapR Hadoop distribution.* You should have in-depth experience as part of a Hadoop development team assisting technical investigations, prototypes, development and efficient use of Hadoop tool suite. We are seeking strong working knowledge of Hadoop cluster setup, monitoring and Hadoop 1 & 2 APIs. *You should have proven experience in design, implementation, and deploying ETL to load data to Big Data and deep working knowledge of EMR is required.* In this role, you will help develop emerging technologies for our regulatory client to better analyze the data they are already gathering, and to gather more—and different—data to identify and prioritize risk in order to better protect investors and monitor the markets. The client is developing a suite of “big data” information sources and analytics to improve regulatory oversight. You will be working directly with AWS on daily calls to design services to meet our client’s complex demands. You will work as a liaison between development and data scientist teams to identify and resolve issues impacting application availability, scalability, performance and data throughput with Cloudera/ MapR.
