Responsible for tasking and managing the staff responsible for troubleshooting, updating and maintaining system logic for the National Flood Insurance Program Transaction Record Reporting and Processing Plan and Edit Specifications, System of Record (SOR) and other component systems. The Team Lead will support team members in the design, development, operations & maintenance, testing and implementation complex of mainframe systems in support of National Flood Insurance Program. The Team Lead is responsible for the mentoring and coaching team members on a regular basis. *Description of specific Duties in a typical workday for this position:* - Coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees. - Coordinate operations, maintenance, development and implementation of changes to operate and improve overall efficiency and functionality. - Coordination and understanding of business needs. - Act as a representative of the technology team and follow proper escalation procedures. - Coordinate effectively with data center and disaster recovery personnel and facilities. - Assess the impact of changes on existing business and technology processes, as well as other interfacing systems. - Analyze systems / application procedures and project manage project of various sizes. - Analyze and estimate incoming work requests / tasks from the client and business. - Follow proper escalation procedures throughout the life cycle of the project. - Liaise with client, business & other team leads on technology, including working closely with developers on the construction and implementation of system changes. - Develop good communication with the client, business users, data center, team leads and technology partners. - Experience managing individuals with a large number of deliverables within short turn around periods. - Provide teams weekly and monthly status reports to higher management. - Render accurate estimation and project plan. *Position Requirements:* (Years of experience, certifications, software skills, etc.) - *5+ years professional experience with Mainframe technologies related to batch and online processing. * - *3+ years professional experience with leading a team of mainframe developer.
