Should have experience in simulators and labs ( for mobile testing – for example they can simulate 500 iOS devices and test the app etc..)* *Another KEY POINT is – these resources should have experience in integrating and migrating other dev teams to their code/module. Candidate should be experienced working with other application teams and help them to understand functionality, test cases, how to interface etc.. and successfully migrate them to the new product/code etc.. These resources should act as ‘bridge’ for the application development team.* *Position Description* • Provides QA Testing activities for medium to large scale projects for a given Mobile Platform which include participating in product requirement reviews, design implementation discussions, engaging early in Development life cycle, proposing QA estimates and schedules and planning to meet over all QA deliverables. • Drive Test execution activities with the help of outside consultants or vendors to deliver product on time and with high quality. • Provide clear visibility to the management and project team on Quality metrics during the project. • Demonstrates leadership skills working with different team members building the application and influence quality within the team. • Demonstrates expertise in field of Mobile Test Engineering and service-oriented architecture. Applies latest trends of mobile testing to day-to-day challenges and execution. • Provides constructive feedback on application Quality and about the consistency and depth of the product requirements. • Develops and improves testing methods and processes and overall quality of testing deliverables. • Identifies and communicates issues/risks applying technical and root cause analysis skills. • Participates in building and improving QA and Test Automation tools utilized by the testing team. *Minimum Qualifications* • Must have at least 5+ years of testing experience in large-scale e-commerce applications with 3+ years of experience on Mobile platforms. • Experience testing web based or mobile applications implemented using scrum or agile methodologies. • Expertise in testing mobile applications on IOS and Android Platforms using Emulators and Real Devices and debugging Native application code using X-Code and *Android SDK*. • Experience testing Mobile or web-based applications built with Service Oriented Architecture a plus. Knowledge and understanding of testing REST or SOAP based Web-services, using any tool (eg: SoapUI) is preferable. • Experience with server configuration, environment setup and debugging skills. Good understanding of web based service-level interaction, able to debug/trace low level HTTP(s) data interchange. • Thorough orientation in RDBMS concepts, SQL, stored procedures, and awareness of schema and data optimization principles. Experience with Oracle a plus. • Highly proficient in a Unix/Linux environment. Knowledge of any scripting language a plus. • Excellent knowledge of Internet/Web technologies, such as web browsers, Java, AJAX, HTTP, HTML/XML, JavaScript , CSS, XSL/XSLT, XPATH etc. • Passion for testing and the ability to work independently on diverse problems and resolve testing challenges on a daily basis. • Knowledge of QA and mobile tools including bug/defect tracking systems; such as Jira, Quality Center, Test flight, Green hopper etc. • BS in computer science or equivalent.
