JPMIS also uses Big Data Technology to improve efficiency and information use within JPMC. The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for leading the enhancement and management of a Greenplum application sourcing data from Hadoop. The ideal candidate will ensure that system documentation is up to date, data loads are successful, system security is robust and application meets functional and non-functional requirements. The candidate will ensure upgrades and enhancements are non-disruptive and appropriate planning is performed and acted upon. The candidate will have solid technical documentation skills to complete Permit to Operate required documentation. *Responsibilities * Lead the ongoing maintenance of a *Greenplum application* that sources data from Hadoop Interface with Lines of Business to validate requirements and complete design for any enhancements Provide direction to junior programmers Drive creation of technical documentation, architecture diagram, data flow diagram, server configuration diagram Complete Risk questionnaires for the application Drive project team to meet planned dates and deliverables Work with big data developers designing scalable, supportable infrastructure Work with Linux server admin team in administering the server hardware and operating system Assist with developing and maintaining the system runbooks Perform ongoing capacity management forecasts including timing and budget considerations. *BS Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experience* *10+ years of Information Technology experience with an emphasis on database technologies 2+ years of experiencewith MPP databaselike Greenplum/Vertica/DB2 required 2+ years of experience with Hadoop required 4+ years experience in ETLwith tools like Informatica, Data Stage or Ab-initio* Knowledge ofSQL/Shell and procedural languages like PL/SQL preferred Understanding of Storage, Filesytem , Disks, Mounts , NFS preferred Development experience in Hive preferred Excellent customer service attitude, communication skills (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills Experience leading technology initiatives and working in cross-functional, multi-location teams Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Experience in the financial services industry preferred -- Thanks and Regards, *Paul* Marketing Manager Global Systems LLC Office: 214-390-7324 | Email: p...@globalsyst.com <shek...@globalsyst.com>, Web: www.globalsyst.com Yahoo IM - paul_75038 Certified Woman-Owned (WBE) & Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) *We are very committed.
