They are also comfortable taking initiative and working alongside top-notch software developers.* * Day to Day Responsibilities:* *Participate in the full development life cycle Own the delivery and post-delivery of a selected applications, and contribute as required on midsize to large, complex projects Create detail technical designs and specifications Be hands on software engineer and part of the team to deliver software to production and own the go live and post go live activities Enforce coding standards through formal reviews Ensure web operations and non-functional system requirements are met prior to production deployment Participate in developing the best technical design and approach for new products or technologies. Design and implement integrations with other Home Depot Systems and components Be highly innovative, flexible and capable of working effectively in a dynamic environment * *Required Experience:* - *3+ years of software development experience* - *Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or related* - *Solid design and coding skills in Java and Spring framework* - *Experience building high-performance, highly-available and scalable systems* - *Solid Fullstack Development Experience * - *Strong Unit Testing Skills (Cucumber, JUnit, Protractor, etc.,)* - *Experience with web services (e.g., RESTful, SOAP)* - *Experience with Front End Frameworks (HTML 5, Angular JS, etc.,)* - *Experience with NoSQL databases, such as Cassandra, preferred* - *Experience with development using cloud technologies (Google Cloud, Amazon AWS, etc.)* - *Experience with version control systems, such as Git* - *Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment* - *Strong Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis* - *Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate working well in a team and mentor more junior developers* - *Highly innovative, flexible and self-directed* - *Experience with the full development life cycle from inception to production* - *Sense of ownership for the delivery of an entire piece of a system or application, serving as a technical lead on midsize to large, complex projects* * Top three skills:* * 1. Front end framework experience--highly highly preferred is Angular JS Will be sending prescreen questions and coding assessment by EOB tomomorrow. Communication does not have to be perfect, as they will be kinda heads down, but they will not sponsor. Where candidates have missed in the past is on simple questions about the tools they used in past positions. If it is on their resume, they need to be able to back it up with real examples of how and why they used it on a project. Req said 3+ years of experience but preferred to have 6-8 years.
