*The Weather Company, an IBM Business, is seeking a Senior Quality
Assurance Engineer to provide manual and automation testing support in an
agile scrum development environment. This candidate will review
stories and bug fixes, write and execute test cases, automate test cases
from the regression suite, execute/manage automation and manage defects for
specific features. This position requires understanding of automation
frameworks, continuous integration as well as some leading skills for all
the releases which will required manual testing using a blend of
exploratory and black box testing techniques for assigned products. The
ideal candidate will have automation coding experience in Java or C#. The
candidate is also expected to participate in requirements gathering, design
and technical review to support overall achievement of business
objectives. Essential duties and responsibilities for this position
include: Responsibilities include:*
- *Meet with product owners to identify acceptance criteria based on
Agile principles*
- *Responsible for administering test projects and authoring test plans*
- *Update API documentation and keep it up to date*
- *Responsible for creating and reviewing test cases and projects in
Test Rail*
- *Able to manage multiple projects and delegate tasks*
- *Coordinate with automation lead for test cases to be automated*
- *Design and code test logic for automation*
- *Maintain automated tests and correct defects or update logic.*
- *Responsible for executing automated Regression tests*
- *Responsible for managing defects and also triaging them with project
leaders*
- *Mentor junior analysts on QA best practices *
*Required Technical and Professional Expertise*
- *Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with 3 years of experience*
- *2 years experience in the following areas:*
- *Java / C# *
- *Continuous integration tools like Jenkins*
- *Selenium Web Driver*
- *Soap or RestFul API testing*
